Bow Tie Onesies

I've been working on some custom kids clothes that use the bow ties I make in my shop, because I'm determined to fill the world with even more bow tie cuteness.  Here are a few pieces I've made recently.

These were made for a set of twins that were born very recently. Their mama loves purple so I was sure to incorporate purple into the designs.  (She also loves stars, so the dark fabric has both!) The center bands for each bow tie has the fabric from the other, so the brothers will still be matching just a bit in their outfits.

The next outfit is a shirt for a growing boy about to turn 1 in July. He's outgrowing (everything) onesies pretty quickly, so this design called for a t-shirt. He's going to look so absolutely cute in it!!

New Bow Ties & Bow Ties in Action

Hello there!

Summertime is officially here and this summer's theme seems to be weddings and babies!!  I've had quite a few custom order requests in the shop lately which is always fun and a nice creative challenge.  I'm currently halfway through finishing up a custom quilt which I'll share later in the month as well as 3, yes 3 (maybe 4) different custom mobiles.  Be sure to check back here on Wednesday. I'm going to have a post featured over at the blog Kiss My Tulle and I couldn't be more excited about it!!

By special request, I whipped up some Patriotic Pet Bow Ties for the shop.  You dog or cat will be ready to celebrate the 4th of July in style!! (Also, check out the beautiful color of my hydrangea!)

Last week I also got a custom order request for a navy satin bow tie with a satin collar.  The buyer wanted something cute to dress up her Yorkiepoo in for her wedding day.

Navy Satin Pet Bow Tie. Contact me to request an upgraded listing with the collar.

Now check out all of this cuteness:

OMG - Hampton (a former S.N.O.R.T. - Short Noses Only Rescue Team-er) is *quite* the charmer. I recently got an update about Mr. Formal-Classic from his former foster mom. Hampton is a therapy dog and he works in hospitals and nursing homes helping people and he wears his Navy Satin Fancy Pet Bow Tie every time he's "on duty" cheering people up!! How great is he?!!

This is Mojo!! His mom bought him a collar back in May so he could look fancy at her wedding.  I've got this photo for now of Mojo trying it on, but will have a professional photo or two later in the summer.  I'm so excited!

Lastly, I whipped up some business cards to include with my bow ties and they, obviously, feature the exceptionally adorable in-house model.  Vertical design, purple backs, rounded corners, and a cute pup in a bow tie.  What's not to love?!!

Fancy Pet Bowties

There are quite a few pets out there who are getting geared up for summer parties, because I've been making quite a few bowties this month.  I've already heard back from one bride who bought a Navy Satin Fancy Pet Bowtie who's excited to share photos of her dachshund on her wedding day!!

Like the blush chiffon, I've had these two fabrics in my fabric stash for a while now and I think the colors are pretty cute, if I do say so myself.

I'm hoping to get some photos of bowties in action sometime soon to share here!

Eek: Fancy Bowties for Your Favorite Pet!!

Okay, I promise PROMISE I'll have more posts lined up a bit more regularly soon, but things have been really crazy and I just can't find the time. Please take these RIDICULOUSLY cute photos of the in-house model as penance for my neglect.

I had a request about a month ago for a pet bowtie in a more neutral everyday-wear pattern.  This person also (wisely) requested that the bowtie be the color lavender. While I was at the fabric store I also stumbled across some adorably cute blue seersucker in the remnant bin (and everyone loves a good bargain on fabric) so I snatched it up!!

I've sold a few more of these now but had yet to actually take a picture of them in action for my Etsy shop and Facebook Shop page.  I'm donating a bowtie to a local-ish animal rescue organization called S.N.O.R.T. (small nose only rescue team - so for dogs just like my in-house model). They're holding an online charity auction in a few weeks and I wanted to be able to help them raise a little money.

So I popped over to my SIL's house to sweet talk the in-house model, Bailey, into taking some photos for me. I must say, he was in top form today and I was able to bang out three different bowtie looks in about 10 minutes. This pup knows how to work the camera and get things done!!  (Which was nice, because I had some other stuff on my list of things to do today, AND  it even left us time to play in the snow, because Bailey LOVES to play in the snow.)

Now for your viewing (and squeeing) pleasure...

First up is the Lavender Bowtie: I ended up using this cute photo for my ad for the bowtie that I'm giving to the charity auction!!
You can find the lavender bowtie here.

Now, a Blue Seersucker Bowtie with a bit of side-eye from Bailey!!!

And lastly, my sister mentioned that one of her friends was possibly interested in a bowtie for her dog to wear to her wedding and I'd just found some navy satin in the remnant bin (to fix my sister's shirt so it's, like, full circle here). I thought the satin would make an AWESOME and extremely fancy bowtie.  Bailey brought his A-game and really upped the charm for this photo:

Have a great week!!
